Nemesy puffed annoyed. He was right, Nemesy knew that. They couldn't kill or eliminate Suzuki themselves, they needed the whole alliance. She could remember Rafael, a former strong member of Phoenix. He was as strong as Myx and could protect the Alliance well, but Rafael had turned against Andromeda one day to protect his Alliance, she had threatened Ivana and held a dagger to her throat. Rafael then tortured and murdered Andromeda, the leader of Apocalypse. Being a blood murderer was not easy, no Alliance would accept him now, or accept him at all, as this would lead to a scandal with other Alliances. Although Rafael was nice and only did this to protect Ivana, it was a criminal offense by law, and so Rafael voluntarily left the alliance at Suzuki's request and formed his own alliance called AutoOn to keep the peace. They were no longer in the same alliance, but they were still good friends with him. Nemesy crossed her arms and turned her back on Firewolfd in insult. "You creep," she murmured and Layto looked up as if he had been ripped out of his thoughts. "Let's leave it alone," he spoke softly and his friends looked at him in amazement. Thoughtfully, the vice leader scratched his chin. "Why Layto?," Raiu asked and went to the right side of his vice-leader. "You're afraid of that, aren't you?" Raiu asked and looked at his friend, who returned his gaze and replied, "No, because I already know the answer. Startled, Firewolf opened his eyes, went to Layto as well and shouted in shock, "What do you mean by that! The vice leader raised his hand and told Firewolf to be quiet. The man swallowed and looked down in annoyance when he asked Lucian, "If you know, why didn't you tell Myx? Upset, the vice-leader looked at his friend and replied, "Because he wouldn't have believed me. He would have gone straight to Suzuki to check it out. Do you want Suzuki to turn the whole alliance against us?!" Firewolf gritted his teeth in annoyance, grabbed Lucian by the collar and shouted: "Suzuki wouldn't even have time for that! Everyone here thinks Zorena is more capable of leading than Suzuki. Without her Phoenix would not be here! You know I am right! She was the one chosen by the gods to lead the alliance, not him!" The vice-leader gently pushed Firewolf away from him, telling him to let go of his collar, which the summoner directed at him. Firewolf looked down angrily and the warrior looked confused from Firewolf to Lucian. For a while everyone remained silent until Raiu broke the silence and stepped between them: "If we make enemies of each other, it won't help Zorena. You both want her to get better and all the members of the alliance to get better, don't you? Lucian sighed, he rubbed his eyes, pondered briefly, lowered his hand and looked at Firewolf, who nodded and the vice president said, "Sorry. Perhaps you are right. It is risky, but at least we could try." Firewolf looked up and looked into Lucian's eyes in surprise. His vice-leader smiled friendly and the follower nodded approvingly.
Chapter.10
Frightened, Zynoa opened her eyes. Slowly and carefully she looked around. She was in her room and lay covered in her bed. Icy cold it ran down her back as she tried to remember her dream, but the girl could not. She turned right in her bed and looked to her window. She pulled the white blanket over her ears and snuggled into her bed. It was still night, or had she slept all day? She sighed sadly, she wanted to sleep and never wake up again. She looked at the moon shining brightly through her window and tears came back to her eyes as she remembered her brother. She trembled all over her body. Her brother had liked to watch the moon every night. The young man had told her stories of how the moon would light the way into her soul for the gods and they would immediately inform her mother if Zynoa was not being good or trying to hide something. That's why her mother could always catch her when she tried to hide something. She turned her eyes away from the moon and looked at her black nightstand. A small silver picture frame was placed on the bedside table, which carried a picture of her brother as he held her in his arms when Zynoa was very small. He smiled happily and it seemed like he would never want to let go of his little sister. Whenever she saw this picture, her heart hurt. Because of her, whom he wanted to protect as he did then, he died. Why did she not listen to her parents back then, but went into battle to fight at her brother's side? Depressed, she put her hand on the picture frame and turned it towards the wall so that she would not have to look at the picture anymore. Her mother had not spoken to her for weeks since the death of Skyla. Zynoa wished so much that she could rewind time and undo everything. Her brother would surely have become a subscriber to the Alliance alongside her mentor. She flinched, her eyes widening as she thought of her mentor. He had been the one who had saved her then. If it weren't for him, and he had stood in the way of the enemy warrior to continue protecting her, she would certainly not be alive now. Fear spread into her and Zynoa clung to her blanket. She had almost given up if it wasn't for Cyrus. What kind of blood master was she if she wasn't brave enough to fight on alone? Had all the effort and training been in vain? More tears rolled from her eyes. She would never be as strong and brave as her mentor or her brother. She was a disappointment for the Alliance and her family. "I'm sorry Skyla and Firewolf. I'm just a burden," she spoke softly and burst into tears. She sobbed, pulled the blanket over her head and closed her eyes while crying softly into the blanket. She could no longer look her parents or her mentor in the face. She was a disgrace to her alliance. She wished Cyrus had not saved her. Zynoa sniffed, she buried her head in her hands and cried softly on.
Lucian sighed, hours had passed since his conversation with Nemesy, Firewolf and Raiu. He had managed to convince the three of them that he would take care of it. His daughter Zynoa and the others of his alliance, who had left to confront the leader, had all returned safe. None were really hurt and he had ordered Firewolf to lock Poison up in the dungeons. Firewolf's reaction to lock him away without hesitation came as little surprise to him, but when the group arrived, he had talked with Firewolf about the rest of the situation. To be honest, he did not want to confront Suzuki directly. If he did, even Suzuki could stir up the alliance against him. He first had to win the alliance for himself until Zorena was back on her feet. Then they could proceed to search Suzuki's room and win the alliance completely, even Myx. "Lucian!", the man could hear a voice familiar to him calling his name. The black-haired man turned and saw a young Bloodmaster who had apparently just returned from the night patrol. "What's wrong, Kuru," Lucian asked and looked anxiously at Kuroneko, who seemed nervous and bit his lips. "We have a new enemy, Lucian. We must act. Suzuki cannot lead us into a war. You know that! Firewolf, Nemsy and Raiu have already enlightened us. Mizu and Raiu are talking to the others who still have to be enlightened." Surprised, Lucian looked at his bloodmaster, who smiled and bowed. "Oh yes, me and Raiu were searching Suziki's room when he was about to have a smoke and look what we found," Kuroneko explained and smiled while he took a letter out of his little brown fanny pack around his red robe. He held the golden envelope out to Layto and smiled. "Read that one. If that is not proof enough, I don't know what is. The letter was carefully hidden in the trash. Raiu actually discovered the letter," the blood master explained, crossed his arms as his deputy received the letter and grinned while Lucian read the letter attentively. "This cannot be true," the black-haired man spoke in shock and looked at Kuroneko, who nodded. Layto's gaze wandered down to the letter again and this time he read it aloud. His voice sounded shocked: "I, Suzuki, leader of Phoenix ready, hereby declare that my Vice leader Zorena may be killed. I hereby ask the Legends and Wolf alliances to arrange for the death of Zorena". Kuroneko waited a while for Lucian to catch himself, but this took too long for the young blood master, he flicked in front of Lucian's nose, who was completely absorbed in his thoughts. "Lucian, we must act! Most of them are already waiting in the common room," Kuroneko hurried down the decorated corridor, leaving his Vice alone. He swallowed, furiously crumpling the letter. A cold fire played in his ice-blue eyes and he gnashed his teeth furiously. "That's enough. Phoenix does belongs to Zorena, you traitor," Lucian hissed and followed Kuroneko who had disappeared towards the common room.
Zynoa grumbled and rubbed her sleepy eyes. She had no eye to get
