Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. were in tears. "Hey, hey guys. No need to panic so."

"No need to panic?!" One of my students yelled at me through heavy sobs. "Didn't you just hear

what the President had said?!"

"Yes I did and I read also "may be". It "may be". Besides that is impossible for the earth to do that let alone the sun. Now if you look through your notes-"

"EXCUSE ME?!?

The same frantic student punctuate with emphesis at me.

"We are going along with the lesson. It's breaking news but if there's no word about severe storms coming or evacuating, the day will go on."

"Professor...we are upset and scared shitless. Excuse my french."

"Perhaps this will be a good time to cancel for today Professor. You can't stand there and teach a class that is too much of an emotional reck to pay attention." My student Justin Hall had said.

So I had no choice but to cancel class after all. Damn.

The news really hit a blow to everyone in the library. Some fainted, some dropped down there knees and actually prayed and cried out. The sight to that scenery were much worrisom and frighten then what I heard on t.v.. So my boss and some others played nurse and when everything calmed down the best it could, we closed early. I grabbed my belongings along with the Wizard Of Oz dvd and headed to the bus stop to get home to my dinner and dvd player-that was waiting for me at my bell tower.

I didn't see him

on the bus when I got on and I can only hope he's ok. I couldn't help but to look around me and the sunken face people. Some seemed scared to even be on though they had rode the 72A back to where ever they were going.

What fear can do to you.

By the time my stop came, I got off with a lot on my mind. People on my block were outside; Some in groups hudling as they talk, others walking up and down the block, crossing back and forth in streets like they lost a little bit of their minds as well as their sense of direction. The corner store had a small line outside of the busniess which was weird because that's the most business it had gotten. What could you buy from a corner store to form a line? I wonder.

As my mind kept wheeling I didn't notice the local block's regular, "Falcon". I believe I'm the only one around here that knows the name of the homeless man that stroles the streets. "Good day to you, 'Falcon'". He looks at me with his caked up streaks of diferent shades of dirt and his beady eyes. "HONOR

. Good day to you."

"I guess you heard the news...the world looks like it's in trouble."

"Ha! The world has always been in trouble. And people always seem to have the band aides to fix it."

"Ok..." I said unsure if I understood that reply fully. "But in trouble I meant it may come to the end."

"Falcon" looked at me blankly. "An end huh? You don't say." Then he turned his gaze to nothing in particular, took a few sips of his water in the water bottle and burped.

I guess that was cue to keep heading home and talk to someone who cares.

Through the rest of the morning, to the late afternoon, to the evening, I stayed in mainly people watching at my window which something I don't do. "Falcon" was talking to another one like him in his position as if there was no breaking news from earlier. People weren't so hudeled in groups anymore but inside and the corner store calmed it down a little with folks running in and out of it. There wasn't a room in the building with the t.v. on listening to the news and what is next to come.

There hasn't been anything new being said so I guess that could be a good thing...oh, who was I kidding. The suspense was a killer. They kept showing different location of the world and how they were handling the situation. People in this world...this made me think more of God. I was taught to never question him but it is normal to be inquistive right? I believe in Him. Mom made sure to stregthen my faith when it comes to Him but...I do wonder why did he make me the way that I am. I wonder what is the reason why he made us at all. This life we live...we take it for granted and can never appreciate the little things.

I thought about my past present and future. Future...seems like a word that will now be an echo spoken from billions and billions mouths of the dead. If the world is coming to an end what would have I done different? Stop being a closed off person for one. And be thankful that I have my health instead of wallowing in my thoughts about my limp, gimp and deafness. I wished I went to a college. The University across Browns Moore would've been perfect. Took the time to meet someone and fall in love maybe...I looked over at the Wizard Of Oz dvd just laying on my coffee table.

That's my biggest dream-the theater. Broadway, singing and dancing. Judy had it, Dorris...and Oooo Gene Kelly. The classics all have gone from the world from us leaving their mark and legacy. The world is coming to the end...so why not go out with a bang? If each stranger or the few people that I knew had their own solo to sing and bellow out, the last song of their lives...what would it be?

This thought had sticked with me through the night till morning. Luckily nothing unusual happened while whoever thought that it is still possible to sleep. The last thing I remembered from the news other than them replaying what we already knew and heard a millionth time, was there could be an estimate amount of time within days before we all met our doom. I didn't get a call saying that the library was going to be closed so I got ready and head out to that bus stop. Some of the regular riders were on-a couple of them but Holy Julie made it her damnest to ride and say her few words.

"HE IS COMING! THE LORD IS COMING! GET READY TO MEET YOUR MAKER!"

Usually the riders would groan and say unintellegent words about Holy Julie. But not a word today....To fix this-unusual scene and situation, I pulled out my mp3 player and searched for the perfect song for how my mornings were usual that I can remember because this morning?...Unreconizable. Hey....the thought I had last night...a song to sing for the last time. What if we ever was in a musical??? Groups of different aspects of what people believe as life that we know goes on-"Sinners vs. Saints"! Like "Jets vs. The Sharks" in Westside Story. I instantly thought of the opening song as I chose it on my mp3 player.

If I could change this scene, it would start with that boring dj on the radio, Walt Stiner. Someone live would take his place. I can imagine God starting out the day as a sketch of the sun rising on the town and coloring the details as my clock radio came to life with a pleasing voice. And everyone would lip sink!...Yeeeah...same 'ol same day in and day out. The poor battle singing the rich and middle classes. The world is coming to the end..."The End"-"Fin" like it would say at the end of movies. An assuring little smile crept on my face as I thought of this thought. A sure way to turn this depressing news to "lights, camera, action!"

And I found the perfect opening song....(@PLAY 1ST SONG).

CLOCK RADIO:

Good morning, Anywhere, USA. This is Clinton Linton coming at 'cha with the "Deep Dish" news and weather. It's 7:00am on this gloomsday morning but expect yet another sizzle frizzle day. Tell it like it is peeps, with this classic song:

(Mm ba ba de
Um bum ba de
Um bu bu bum da de
Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure that brings a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Um ba ba be
Um ba ba be
De day da
Ee day da - that's okay
It's the terror of knowing
What the world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow gets me higher
Pressure on people people on streets
Day day de mm hm
Da da da ba ba
Okay
Chippin' around - kick my brains around the floor
These are the days it never rains but it pours
Ee do ba be
Ee da ba ba ba
Um bo bo
Be lap
People on streets - ee da de da de
People on streets - ee da de da de da de da
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher higher high
Pressure on people people on streets
Turned away from it all like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn
Why - why - why?
Love love love love love
Insanity laughs under pressure we're breaking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love that one more chance
Why can't we give love give love give love give love
give love give love give love give love give love
'Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the (People on streets) edge of the night
And loves (People on streets) dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
Under pressure
Pressure

There was that smell again on the bus. Not that I had a problem with it. It actually smell nice and it reminds me of royalty. Usually, I sit with a woman on my left in the window seat and sometimes there's one on my right or behind me but one of them is wearing it lightly but it's heavy heavenly on my heart. From the sound around me, I could tell that the bus wasn't so crowded like it usually is. The woman in the back was going off louder than she usually do and no one cared to tell her quiet. I guess the bus held the capacity of unsurety about what has been going on in the news to try to even tell the crickety voice woman be quiet.

Too bad Professor Braddock is no where near in the group unsure people so I knew without trying to find out if class will still be on that it was still on. Now, how many people will show up for class is another story. I got off at my stop as soon as the bus said where it's at and head to my 9:35am World History class.

Braddock wasn't at the door and I didn't hear him at his desk so I assumed he
