Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. "And what is that?" The young lady asked.

"A tree. "

*JUSTIN*

Word has gotten out that the library should be closing for good along with the Java Hut. And most of the faculty in the University will try to fly to wherever they need to go so I did wish them the best on that. So there was no doubt the University will soon be doing the same.

I've been to the Java Hut several of times for the english muffins and tea. I'm not so much of a coffee drinker. From all the chattering that goes on in the place I can tell it was a very social atmosphere. But there was one place I never been into-the library. It has always been across the way but from the financial funding I recieve because of my ability, I didn't see any reason to go in. So after my classes I walked across the street.

The echo from the door closing behind me was filled the stillness of the room. different shoes clattering, screeching, thumping, and thudding on the floor was enough for my ears. So I tapped my cane about till I reached the counter. Much better: Soft voices and the sound of the click-clacking of fingers on the keys is a sound I can work with. Even the smell in this area is more fresh than where you stand as soon as you enter. Smells like how a library should smell. Classically ancient.

Wait...smell. That smell. I know that smell! I tapped my cane towards my right and started walking in that direction while saying "pardon" and "excuse me". I stopped to where the smell was the strongest. There were beeping noises also coming in that direction until it stopped and a soft gasp sound escaped someone's mouth. I leaned in a little closer, hoping I wasn't scaring this woman and said "White Diamond?"

"....And bus 72..." She was hesitant to say but did in a soft, pleasing tone.

*HONOR*

There he was. Standing right in front of me in the flesh. He even looked more attractive up close than across the way from my seat on the 72. After I checked out the brunett, I turned off my hearind aide so I wouldn't hear people talk and when they tried to get my attention I just signed them and acted like there was no way for me to understand unless you signed back. From the day I've been having, my mind has been on a spiral downward and I didn't feel like having courtesy. That was until he approached me...

He was saying something to me but I could only hear vauge muffles. I read his lips, "White Diamond?" Huh? I reached to turn on my aide and when I did I heard him say "I'm sorry...I must be bothering you. Forgive me, but I thought you might be someone-"

"....And 72..." I finally got the strength to say something.

"72...of course." He had replied.

"Oh, you were asking about my perfume. Yes, it's White Diamond. Elizabeth Taylor was one of the classics. And it's as close as I can get to smell expensive."

That retort brought a chuckle out of him. "Well, your neck wears it well. So you ride 72 huh?"

"Yes and-" I was interupted by an employee was almost in my face with tears saying how she heard that we're going to be out of jobs. I guess he can tell that this wasn't a time or place to talk because he said to me "I'm Jusstin Hall. 72 right? I'll see you on. And You're name...?"

"Honor. Honor Humbleton."

"Very unique..." He had said with a grin on his face. Then I watched him walk away and out the door to the blinding sun light as more people came in to cool down. My employee just cried her eyes out and held on to my shirt. All I thought was the guy who rides the same bus and sits across from me, had spoken to me and asked for my name

...I just let my co worker cry.

By the time my shift was over, not once have I felt tired. I was still stunned about the pleasent meeting earlier and yet excited about my bus ride home. But when I got to the stop, I didn't see him. For the past ten minutes that went by I still didn't see him and when the bus came he still wasn't around. So there goes my enthusiasm. Luckily I had some books to read and dvds to watch. Might as well have them since the library won't be around anymore. I placed my purse beside me and when I straighten myself up, he was sitting right next to me.

"So this is where you sit mainly." He said.

"How did you come on the bus?"

"My legs still work." He said with a chuckle. "Don't worry. I wouldn't miss the bus..." That comment made me blush.

"I'm sorry that I disturbed you from your work. Andif I frighten you."

"No, no! it's...ok. What work anyway? And I couldn't hear you because my hearing aide was off."

"Oh, I'm sorry...I didn't-"

"There's no need for you to apologize so often."

"Ok. I'm sor-" We shared that moment of the quiet between us before we laughed. We gotten a few stares. I assumed only because we have never talked to anyone on the bus before or we were being a bit loud than what we normally were. One lady smiled at me and nodded her head in approval. The attention would usually make me quiet and feel awkward but I didn't care this time because I was enjoying our little conversation. Even Holy Julie was quiet FOR ONCE!...oh, she wasn't on the bus. ???

"So...I heard the library is closing down..."

"Yeah." I said glumly. I was thinking about that all day as soon as my boss dropped the news on me. Now everyone else will be out of jobs. And what about you? The school..."

"Yep. I don't know what's going to happen. Mostly people are heading to their homes to be with their family if they can. I was in a foster home in and out until I was back in foster care and was old enough to be on my own so I don't have a stable place. Is there by any chance...you will heading off too...?"

"No. I was an only child with mom and she passed."

"Sor."

"What?"

"Sor. I can't say 'I'm sorry' so often so that is what I will say to you. 'Sor'."

"Ok..." I said with a small smile. Corny but cute...

The bus passed by some workers that was coming in and out of factories. I got a glimpse of some of the faces of the hard men at work and was so beat from working as their shift ended. It made me think of everyones' jobs.

"The industrial factories." Justin had said.

"Can you tell?"

"Yep. The smoke that come through the vents.

"Oh. I was thinking how eveyone will be jobless...then what?"

He shrugged. "I don't know either. It's like people are giving up."

"You mean you think there's something to still go on to?"

"Still breathing and moving, right? Why not? We have lived our lives through the good and bad up until this point. So just keep living."

I smlied a little bigger this time. "That's a good way of putting it..." But I still thought about the workers out there and everyone else. The families that they provide for. What are they thinking as they come home from the hard's day of work and clocking in to start? Have they found what they have been searching for?.... (@)

(As my life goes on I believe
Somehow something's changed
Something deep inside
Ooh a part of me

There's a strange new light in my eyes
Things I've never known
Changin' my life
Changin' me

I've been searchin' so long
To find an answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Oh..oh

Now I see myself as I am
Feeling very free
Life is everything
Ooh it's meant to be
When my days have come to an end
I will understand what I left behind
Part of me

I've been searchin' so long
To find an answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Woah oh

Searchin'
(don't you know why?
hell yeah)
For an answer to the question
Oh yeah, "Who am I?"
Maybe, maybe it's true
it's only natural
(it's only natural now baby, baby yeah!)
Good things in life
Take a long time
yeah yeah

I've almost missed my stop because we were talking so much. So I pulled on the chord and told Justin this was my stop. "I see. Ok...well, I guess there's no number to call you?"

"I guess so. 'Why me, J.H.?'"

"Huh?" he replied confused.

" 'Why me, J.H.?' " And then without another word I left
